Dental Crowns

Custom-crafted crowns that restore damaged teeth to full function and aesthetics. Same-day CEREC technology means fewer appointments and faster results.

Overview

What to Expect

Dental crowns are custom-crafted caps that restore damaged teeth to full function and beauty. Using CEREC same-day technology, Dr. Heldt can design, mill, and place your crown in a single visit — no temporary crowns, no second appointment, and no waiting.

Is This For You?

Who It's For & Who It's Not

Good Candidates

  • Teeth that have undergone root canal treatment
  • Patients with severely decayed or fractured teeth
  • Large fillings that need replacement or reinforcement
  • Teeth with significant cracks or structural weakness

Less Suitable

  • Minor chips or cracks that can be treated with bonding
  • Patients with active gum infection without prior treatment
  • Teeth that are not structurally salvageable (may need extraction or implant)
  • Patients seeking purely cosmetic improvement on healthy teeth

The Process

What to Expect

01

Tooth Preparation

The tooth is shaped to accommodate the crown. Any decay or damage is removed and a foundation is built if needed.

02

Digital Scan & Design

Using CEREC technology, a precise 3D digital scan is taken and your crown is designed on-screen for perfect fit and bite.

03

Same-Day Milling

Your crown is milled from a solid block of high-strength ceramic in about 15 minutes — right in our office.

04

Crown Placement

The crown is tried in, adjusted for fit and bite, then permanently cemented. You leave with a fully restored tooth in one visit.
